Мои поездки

And this year we did not only go from pub to pub and made up to the young girls, but also we went on several trips.

We went to the valley of Roses and to the Museum of the Rose by bus. There we tried a liqueur, made of roses (it’s not my cup of tea) and jam, also made of roses. It was very tasty and I immediately bought a jar.

Children in the Museum of the Rose.

Then we went on to the Thracians’ Tomb. It was full of children because that day was the 1st of June - the Day of the Child.

For me the culmination of this excursion started after we left the Tomb. The road was leading to the Shipka Temple- Monument and the Shipka Passage. There during the Russian- Turkish war the decisive battles were lead. About 3 or 4 thousand Russians and Bulgarians successfully resisted the 30 thousand Turkish army. A monument on the Shipka top and a church in the Shipka village were built in memory of that so important victory for the Bulgarians. The doms of the church were gilted afresh a couple of years ago. The gold is a gift from Russia.

It happened the same way as in 2004 and that’s why I present only several photos. In any case we didn’t regret that we signed for this excursion for the second time.
